For those who do not know nosework (or sports detection) :

It is a sporting discipline supervised by the USCSS (United States Canine Scent Sports), which was imported to France from the United States in 2017.

Nosework is the fun version of professional detection, where the dog is trained to spot specific odors (explosives, drugs, bedbugs...). In the leisure section, we use more common smells such as spices, coffee, mushrooms, or even essential oils for competitions.

Odors are hidden in different places : inside (house, garage, warehouse.), outside (nature, town...), vehicles.

For whom ? :

  • Humans and dogs of all ages, breeds, the activity is accessible to all.
  • Puppies, elderly dogs, disabled dogs, reactive dogs…
  • No obedience is required.

The nosework is made for you if you want:

- Strengthen your bond and your relationship with your dog.

- Stimulating him physically and mentally.

- Improve his self-confidence.

- Help him soothe his anxieties, if he is stressed or anxious.

- The stimulant if he is shy, aging, injured or disabled

- Teach him to calm down if he is hyperactive.

- Teach them new skills, reduce boredom...

In short, it’s a complete and fun activity that meets the needs of our dogs..!
